Baby-MOT of fermionic Potassium October 2014

Directly after realising and optimising our magneto-optical trap (MOT) of the bosonic Potassium 39, we decided to switch to the fermionic isotope Potassium 40. Since we currently use non-enriched atom sources, the available natural abundance of 0.01% proved a challenge to our atom-trapping capabilities. Yet we succeeded in creating a small, very stable Baby-MOT of Potassium 40 in our science chamber.
